I am holding out to see this one, I am not a fan of Cobain by any means, but really wouldn't have been pleased over the figure is I was a fan when I saw it on the pegs.....

Anyhoo, I think I'm gonna set up an all star jam display with all my guitar players and their stacks of amps behind them.

Examples are those amps, and drum kits (the kit that came with the Muppet's Animal boxed set was exact to the Metallica boxed set in all except color).
I wonder if there is a company out there that creates this stuff and sells it pre-done to companies that do these figures?
Thinking on it, the stool in the Cobain figure (unplugged) looks a lot like the one in the original Elvis figure, if I remember correctly
Have you seen Metallica's and the Muppets drumsets side by side? Any pics? I thought they looked similar but wasn't sure if they were exact.
It wouldn't surprise me if there was a company that made accessories to sell to other toy companies. Makes economic sense. Why reinvent the wheel?

I own both those sets, and while I haven't taken them out of the box, I am fairly confident they are the same pieces.
Ya know...I seem to recall scrutinizing the Muppet set before and noticing it wasn't the same as McFarlane's drum sets. Close, but slightly different.
And if you compare Jimmy's stack with Slash's, you'll see that Slash's amps have bigger heads on them. (did that sound dirty?)
Even Jimi Hendrix's amps are different (older style?) than Slash's. You'll also note that both McFarlane styles of amps have the carrying straps in the up positions.

We'll just calk it up to me only getting to see my collection only when I am in the back room and rearranging it to put more in and not having them out and on display [img]smile.gif[/img]
